CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES: 


ACCOUNTANT

We are currently searching for an experienced accountant to perform financial and human resource functions for our fast paced, growth oriented, metal manufacturing business. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years accounting experience and 1-2 years human resource experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures effective accounting controls are implemented and maintained in accordance with GAAP
  • Implements and analyzes procedures to ensure compliance with corporate policies
  • Calculates and issues financial statements and operational metrics
  • Develops, analyzes, interprets and reports on financial and operating results and identifies any abnormalities
  • Develops and reports on budgets and forecasts comparing variances to actual
  • Provides timely and accurate reporting as required
  • Maintains accounts receivable, payables, bank reconciliations, general ledger and payroll
  • Manages the cash flow and prepares short and long-term forecasts in accordance with policy
  • Prepares all required journal entries for month end closing
  • Maximizes income/reduces expenses where possible and appropriate
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results as needed
  • Human resource tasks as required including employee benefit administration
  • Other duties as required by management team

Qualifications:

  • Experienced working in a growth oriented and highly entrepreneurial changing environment
  • Is comfortable working to short deadlines and competing and changing priorities
  • Possesses a related university degree and a recognized accounting designation
  • Must have outstanding punctuality and attendance and be a team player
  • Must possess strong problem solving and communication skills as well as the ability to handle changing demands
  • Excellent presentation, organizational and people skills
  • Proficient in English
  • Knowledgeable in the use of Sage 50 would be considered an asset

CNC ROUTER OPERATOR

We are looking for a CNC night shift Router Operator that can produce finished parts to specification from sheets of raw material. You will be required to produce machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) router machine. You must have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment that has changing demands throughout the course of the shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Setup & operation of CNC routers
  • Transferring sheet goods onto router tables and delivering finished parts to other areas of the manufacturing plant
  • Tooling setup, wear recognition / breakage detection
  • Router machine maintenance
  • Complete assignments and production sequences to meet production goals & schedules based on input from CNC Routing Programmers as well as Machine Shop Management
  • Conduct quality control by inspection of materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders and company policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
  • Manage priorities as they change throughout a shift

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of computer operations
  • Ability to read and follow written directions and understand basic shop drawings
  • Basic knowledge of measuring tools such as tape measure, ruler, and digital calipers
  • Must have outstanding punctuality and attendance
  • Ability to work according to production schedules and deadlines
  • Must possess strong problem solving and communication skills, be detail oriented, and be able to handle changing demands
  • Fabrication experience would be considered an asset
